Einblick Basel — Visiting Social Institutions

Einblick Basel (Insight Basel) makes social services visible. Social engagement is deeply rooted in Basel. Numerous organizations support marginalized people here—such as the unemployed, those affected by poverty, people with disabilities, or refugees. The valuable work of these institutions often remains invisible to the public. The event "Insight Basel" will take place for the second time and will offer the opportunity to look behind the scenes of Basel's social service institutions.
The 66 participating institutions operate in various social fields. Visitors will gain insights into eight areas of social work in Basel, including aging, unemployment, poverty, disability, loneliness, migration, mental illness, and addiction. The diverse program offers easy access for a broad audience: enriching encounters, engaging tours, and hands-on workshops that bring the city's multifaceted social landscape to life. Guided tours, hands-on workshops, exhibitions, and discussion formats will provide easy access to the daily work and challenges faced by social institutions and those they serve.
