It is with great pleasure that Sol Gabetta, organizer of the Solsberg Festival, invites you to celebrate the 21st anniversary of this music festival. From June 25 to July 5, 2026, the unique, sacred Baroque spaces on the Upper Rhein will once again be transformed into places of inspiration and musical togetherness. The festival remains true to its philosophy and continues to stand for high musical quality and an intimate atmosphere with a focus on chamber music. Musical highlights include performances by loyal companions and true "all-stars" of the festival.
Tracing the authentic sound of the 19th century, Gabetta, together with Kristian Bezuidenhout and his original mid-century Blüthner grand piano, explores the fascination of the sound worlds of Romanticism. The program includes works by Johannes Brahms (From 6 Songs, op. 86, no. 2 "Feldeinsamkeit" [Field solitude]; from 5 Songs, op. 105, no. 1 "Wie Melodien zieht es mir leise durch den Sinn" [Like melodies, it softly moves through my mind]; from 6 Piano Pieces, op. 118, no. 2 Intermezzo; Cello Sonata in E minor, op. 38) and by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (Cello Sonata No. 1 in B-flat major, op. 45; "Song Without Words", op. 19, nos. 1 and 6; "Song Without Words" in D major, op. 109).
Tickets are CHF 29-89 for adults, half price for students, and CHF 15 for kids under age 16.
