If you enjoy discovering the region on bike, why not join a guided group bike tour in and around the Basel area. Between end of April and the beginning of September, ProVelo beider Basel offers weekly group bicycle tours. These evening tours take place on different weekdays to give everyone a chance to join.
Simply show up at Petersplatz (near the Kollegiengebäude) at 18:20 with a sturdy bike, where the tour leader will give information on the evening’s ride. Other items that are recommended to bring include a helmet; replacement hose and breakdown tools; rain gear, jacket, or sweater; water bottle, sandwich or snack; and Swiss francs and Euros. Distances will range from 25-40 km, and the tours will be in the three-countries region, so bring valid I.D. for any border crossings. Participation is free and there is no preregistration.
