The city of Rheinfelden (CH) is celebrating their 19th Cityfest on this weekend. From Thursday to Sunday, you will find attractions for the whole family throughout the city center. There will be carousels for the children and numerous entertainment stalls for all ages set up at Friedrichplatz, Oberrheinplatz, and Kastanienpark. There will also be a diverse range of market stalls throughout the entire town center, from leather goods and jewelry to arts and crafts, not to mention a wide range of delicious food and drink from sweet to savory.
Additionally, a stage will be set up near the Rathaus for a musical entertainment program starting on Thursday at 15:00 with the band Fashion Project, who will be presenting great oldies from the 60s and 70s from 15:00-18:00. From 19:00-23:00, the music switches to German pop hits and the latest chart-toppers. Fashion Project, led by Friddi Walch, has been a regular guest at the Cityfest for many years. On Friday, the band Airport in Rock from Freiburg fills the stage with rock music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s from 18:30-23:00. Everyone is sure to find their personal highlight, as the band brings rock classics to life with their own unique interpretations. On Saturday, UTOPIA-X offer rock, pop, and hardrock from 19:00-23:00. On Sunday, the day traditionally begins from 11:00-12:30 with the morning concert by Stadtmusik Rheinfelden. To get everyone in the right mood, Klaus Böffert takes over from 12:30-15:00. Some people already know him as a long-time resident of Rheinfelden and are looking forward to blues, folk, and local dialect. To conclude the Cityfest, the Kapellenberger band will provide entertainment from 15:30-20:00 with folk, pop, dance, and entertainment music.
Also, many stores will be open on Sunday from 13:00-18:00. The Cityfest will offer something for everyone!
