Montreux Jazz Festival

Since 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival has become a “must” for music fans in Switzerland and around the world, offering impressive line-ups of acts from many different musical styles. There will be more than 450 paid and free concerts in numerous venues, including concert halls, outdoor stages, boats, trains, two palaces, a hotel, a castle, and many parks.
This year’s line-up includes, among many others, Raye & Special Guests, Sting, Maro, Aldous Harding, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Hemlocke Springs, PinkPantheress, Conan Graz, Tyla, Dermot Kennedy, Joy Crookes, John Legend, Yebra, Givēon, The Isley Brothers, The Roots, Zara Larsson, Rival Sons, Deep Purple, Sofia Camara, Lewis Capaldi, Moby, Fresh Mula, Jovanotti, Billy Cobham’ Time Machine, Marcus Miller, Loyle Carner, Vulfpeck, Charles Lloyd, Gregory Porter, Van Morisson, and James Taylor.
Montreux is located about 2.5 hours; best to go by train as parking is limited. Special train discounts apply for the festival, and the train station is only a few minutes’ walk from the festival sites.
Tickets are starting at CHF 97 and are available at https://www.montreuxjazzfestival.com/en/. Many events on outdoor stages and parks are free, so making a trip to Montreux to soak up the music and atmosphere in is well worth the trip.
