The Fondation Beyeler is again celebrating summer and art with its multifaceted summer festival. The Fondation Beyeler museum, the "Kunst Raum Riehen," and the adjacent park are open to visitors all day long and invite them to explore and linger with a wide range of offerings. Fascinating exhibitions, a wide range of art education activities, and varied entertainment for all ages will be on the program.
The musical highlight of the evening is New York-based indie soul queen Joan Wasser, aka Joan As Police Woman. A classically trained violinist, she began her career in the 1990s with indie rock band The Dambuilders and has collaborated as a guest musician with Lou Reed, Antony and the Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright, and Damon Albarn, among others. Since then, she has developed an unmistakable style bridging soul, indie pop, and R&B—profound, intense and touching. Her live performance in the atmospheric park of the museum promises an impressive concert experience full of artistic presence, musical diversity, and emotional honesty—a highlight for music lovers and new fans alike.
Both the museum and the Beyeler Restaurant im Park will remain open until 22:00 on the day of the summer party.
Access to the park is free, admission to the museum is CHF 10 for adults on this day; no registration is required.
