This yearly event is a very special book fair that takes place on the MS Christoph Merian boat that is docked at Schifflände. It houses all kinds of books for kids and youths of all ages in many different languages. Each year, thousands of children, adolescents, their parents, school classes, and teachers—essentially anyone interested in children’s literature—visit the ship to leaf through the books on hand and discover new reading material.
This year, for the first time, the ship will be docking at Schifflände for three weeks! The experts from the PZ.BS library have selected around 1,500 new picture, children's, and young adult books that can be browsed on the ship. The book ship will also be taking part in the Museum Night on January 19.
