Come and witness the International Badminton Grand Prix Gold Tournament that will be taking place at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel. Teams from around the world prove themselves in the tournament, doubles are checked out, and young players try new moves and leave lasting impressions. Badminton fans can expect to discover new players and talents at the Badminton Swiss Open.
The competition will be exciting and dramatic, with smashes clocking in at over 400 km/h. The world ranking players will be competing for prize money of $ 250,000, as well as important qualification points for the 2026 World Championships in India. This year’s tournament is expecting world-class players from around 50 nations and is being live-streamed and broadcast in approximately 30 countries, bringing this top-level badminton event to a global audience. For the expected 15,000 spectators, there will also be an Asian restaurant in the foyer, as well as vendor and information booths, competitions, and more to make it an exciting event for all!
Entrance on Tuesday (qualification and 1st round) and Wednesday (1/16 finals) is free (no ticket needed). Tickets on Thursday (1/8 finals) are CHF 31.50 (CHF 15.90 for students), and tickets on Friday (quarter finals) are CHF 46.90 (CHF 23.90 for students). Tickets for Saturday (semifinals) and Sunday (finals) start at 52.10 for adults and CHF 26.40 for people under age 16. Kids up to age 6 are free on all days (no ticket needed), and family prices and weekend tickets are also available!
