Aktiv! mit Vereinen — Slackline
“Aktiv! mit Vereinen” (Active with Clubs) is a summer program offered by Gsünder Basel (Healthier Basel), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of good health for people in the Basel area. This open-air offer is free to the interested public and is aimed at giving sports clubs the unique opportunity to present their passion to a broader audience and likewise for those interested in sports to be able to try out new sports and activities without obligation.
On these evenings, you can discover the sport of slackline with "Basel City Slackliners” (https://baselcityslackliners.com/). Slacklining is balancing on a thin line (2.5-5 cm wide) with very different stretch and tension. They offer beginner lines that enable children, adults, and seniors to take their first steps without any pressure or fitness requirements. It is often enough to train with them for one evening to take the first steps independently. Slacklining is not only practiced as an independent sport, but is also often used by athletes as balance and mental training. It promotes concentration, the sense of balance and focusing on the "here and now."
Everyone is welcome and participation is free; no pre-registration is required.
