Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with Andean-Cuban-European roots, musician, dancer and visual artist Sofia Rossi Bunge created the spiced-up alter-ego musical persona of Chicka Tikka Masala to release her own music. Street Style vocals merge into Alternative Indie with world influenced songs in Spanish, English, and Portuguese that speak of biographical and imaginary circumstances. Chicka studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston and Buenos Aires (EMC Berklee Partner School) and plays classical guitar, electric guitar, Latin Percussion, and sings; her musical influences are vast. As a dancer, Chicka shared the stage with artists such as Cheb Nasro, Rachid Taha, and Buena Vista Social Club, as well as worked in music videos with Mark Anthony, Mariah Carey, and Film. She currently works with producer Gerardo Morel (Latin Grammy Nominee 2022 – and Afro Andean Funk). Collaborations include Enzo Buono (Playing for Change and Kosmik Band) and other talented musicians.
