The musical “Last Christmas Miracle” takes the audience on a journey through a moving love story based on world-famous Christmas hits, from classics to rousing pop Christmas songs.
The story is set in New York in the run-up to Christmas and is based on a true and—without giving too much away—bittersweet event that is sure to leave no dry eyes in the house. The plot describes the life of Angelica, who keeps her head above water with temporary jobs and, at age 29, is still searching for her “Mr. Right.” In the process, she has profound experiences with fate, but also repeatedly finds herself in situations that make the audience smile. The production was staged by the well-known German actor and theater producer Bernd Gnann, known from films such as “Schiller;” various leading roles in “Tatort;” and productions of musicals about the life of Queen's Freddie Mercury, the Bon Jovi musical “Bed of Roses,” and the musical “Elvis.” With its elaborate decorations, snow machines, and a revolving stage, the musical “Last Christmas Miracle” transforms every concert hall into a sparkling winter Christmas market in New York. The performers all come from well-known musical productions, the songs are sung live and accompanied by an orchestra. The orchestra naturally includes the necessary cellos, violins, and a brass section. The spoken texts are in German.
