Family Sunday — Fossil Hunting

Is that an ammonite or a rare dinosaur bone? Unleash your hunting instinct and embark on a quest for the most beautiful, rarest, and oldest fossils. Drift through prehistoric seas, encounter primeval animals, and on your adventure, find yourself stranded in England with Mary Anning, the first female fossil hunter and paleontologist of the 19th century. The day’s activities include hammer and chisel fossil hunting at the tapping station; big screen fun with an animated film about Mary Anning for the whole family; searching for a hidden dinosaur in the museum; dressing up like in Mary Anning's time; designing your own Jurassic button; fossil tattoos; and an ammonite hunter puzzle game. You can also get behind-the-scenes insights from the adventure collection experts, join a scavenger hunt through the museum, and enjoy dino snack culinary delights for young and old.
Admission is free.
