Kallemi (Arabic for "Speak" in the feminine form) is an artists' collective born between Basel and Ramallah, carried by four voices that transform their stories into music. It's a dialogue about home, belonging, and the power of shared sound—a space where identities meet, intertwine, and are reborn.
The paths of the four musicians—Jasmin Albash, La Nefera, Maysa Daw, and Rasha Nahas—first crossed during an exchange project at Kaserne Basel. What began as a temporary collaboration quickly evolved into a creative movement. After their first joint performance in Basel, which followed an intensive period of work in Ramallah, it was clear: this project would continue. Their distinctive sound transcends fixed categories; between electronic textures, organic beats, and polyphonic harmonies, they create music that unites grace, strength, and vulnerability. At its heart lies the shared search for home—as a feeling, as a memory, as a longing.
