For the second time, the Lido Festival—a promenade festival on the Elsässerrheinweg—will turn the will turn the shore of the Rhein by the Novartis Campus into a vibrant place to experience. It is organized by two organizations, Verein Padelys (aka Lido Sports Club), and Squadra Violi are organizing the Lido Festival on the Elsässerrrheinweg, with the support of the Basler Stadtgärtnerei (Basel’s city gardeners). Its location on the river fits with its name Lido, which it was originally given to conjure up nostalgic feelings of vacations on the beach. Expect a varied program including gastronomy, culture, and exercise activities that will enliven the promenade and provide the wonderful feeling of being on holiday. The Lido Festival will enliven the neighborhood and the city to become a recurring fixture on Basel's cultural agenda in the future.
