Based on the children's book “Urmel aus dem Eis” (Urmel From the Ice) by Max KrusProfessor, this show tells the story of professor Habakuk Tibatong, who has moved to a deserted island with his animals to teach them how to speak. There he lives with the pig Mrs. Wutz, the curious penguin Ping, and the thoughtful monitor lizard Wawa. And off the island, the melancholic sea elephant sings his sad songs. One day, an iceberg with a frozen egg washes up on the beach. Without a doubt, an Urmel hatches from it and professor Tibatong suddenly becomes a famous naturalist. However, this gives King Futsch the idea to capture this Urmel and bring it to his zoo. But Urmel's new friends want to prevent this at all costs.
This lighthearted story will be performed in dialect with string puppets, had puppets, and rod puppets. It is ideal for families with children ages 5 and up.
Tickets are CHF 20 for adults and CHF 15 for kids and students.
