For over 20 years, the Italian soul crooner Mario Biondi has used his dark, smoky voice to span the spectrum from Broadway swing to R'n'B to soul and funk. Lou Rawls and Isaac Hayes are among his idols.
Biondi comes from Sicily, where he grew up in a very musical family. His grandmother was an opera singer, and his father is the author of important Sicilian folk songs. Biondi therefore came into contact with music at a young age and sang for the first time at the age 12 all over Sicily. His voice alone sounds like pure soul and soul jazz. The sensual grooves combined with the incredibly soulful, unique voice give his international productions an incomparable charm that warms the heart.
