At the end of October, pianist Dado Moroni will be celebrating his birthday—60 years young! On this occasion, Offbeat concert is organizing a special birthday concert entitled “Piano Forte—Music for Two Pianos.” Together with the U.S. hard-bop pianist Danny Grissett, who comes from California and has become famous with Tom Harrell, Vincent Herring, Nicholas Payton, and Akinmusire, Moroni will be exclusively presenting the project “The Yardbird Suite.“ Jazz tradition, Charlie Parker, virtuosity, and plenty of room for improvisation and dialogue will characterize the evening. Expect jazz piano fireworks with a birthday cake!
